"What I didn't like was near enough..."

About: North Middlesex Hospital

What I liked

What I didn't like was near enough everything!!

What could be improved

I was admitted into A&E in March 2010 and had to stay a few nights, I was diagnosed with Gallstones. I since have waited till October 2010 for an operation with the odd appointment given with not much notice.

The October 2010 operation was cancelled with less than 2 days notice, leaving me to go back to work in pain using Paracetamol as my pain management, I was assured that my next appointment date would be the November 2010 (just under the 28 days requirement for re-booking).

I was given little notice for an ultrasound which was required a 2 days before the operation, leaving me to lose a days pay. Under 12 hours before the operation I was called, only to be told my operation had been cancelled again!! With no real apology, apart from a trained 'I'm sorry' with no empathy to my situation or the pain I have been experiencing for 8 months. The admission staff had little help to offer apart from another date, and the manager seemed very unsympathetic. I was then given the number to the general manager, who again preformed the trained 'I'm sorry' with a promise of resolving the situation, promising to call me 24 hours later. I have received no such call and doubt I will. The new hospital boasts so much money with the new buildings, shame they don't have the staff or management to math their so called regeneration.

Anything else?

Shocking find somewhere else!!!
