"late issue of prescriptions"

About: Peel Park at Hillside Bridge

There have been many occasions when prescriptions have not been issued within 48 hours.

My last request for my repeat medication has been over 36 hours.

This is for my epilepsy repeat prescription.

I have been told today that "there is a backlog and hopefully it will be issued tonight".

This is not acceptable, being ''hopeful ' is extremely inefficient.

I could have seizures which would create a huge cost to the NHS.

My previous prescription request took five working days. A further example of the appalling service is: following a major operation i required urostomy products which took three months to sort out.

My supplier had to keep issuing emergency supplies whilst waiting for the prescriptions.

I am registered for the Electronic Prescriptions Service yet still printed prescriptions are issued, which results in a visit to the surjury to be picked up.

This is appalling and unprofessional.

These examples are not isolated

Dear patient. Thank you for your comments. These will be reviewed with the team and we will reflect on our internal processes for dealing with prescriptions. If you find that the service does not improve then please contact me directly and perhaps we can discuss in detail? Kind regards, Practice Manager.
