"Treatment for prostate cancer."

About: United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer approximately 3 years ago. The care and treatment I received from the Specialists, the Radiography team and all the support personnel is second to none. The aftercare has been excellent.   Yesterday I was told that we had beaten the cancer and the ongoing monitoring would continue with blood tests every six months and consultation on a yearly basis. I wish to thank everybody concerned for giving me back my life.

Dear Gybaron

It was fantastic to read your post and we are genuinely grateful that you have shared this with us.

I’m so pleased to hear that your experience of care was so positive, the teams always aim to deliver care that they would want for their own loved ones, so will be really boosted by your feedback.

There are services that are available to you for ongoing advice and support after treatment, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if we may help in the future.

With very best wishes

Sarah Ward, Macmillan Lead Cancer Nurse
