What I liked

I have to rate this hospital as five star, all the staff are wonderful with my daughter and she has been in hospital a lot over the past 7 years. I know the A&E was a disaster zone a few years back but as we no longer have to go through A&E I really can't rate that side of it. The children's unit go out of there way to help you and are very understanding.

What could be improved

parking for parents. when you have a child in hospital, it really is not good that you have to pay for parking. most children have at least one parent that stay's with them all the time so parking should be free to them straight away not just after 5 days. Food is another issue for parents. if like me you stay and don't leave your child the cost of food is massive, 1-2 days is ok but hen you are running into 4+ days the food bill becomes an issue. I also take a jar of coffee with me as this is also an expense I can't afford even if it is only 20-30p a time. On the children's unit there is loads of toys but no real TV as they don't have the pay for TV available which is a massive shame.
