What could be improved
Everything. The treatment was disgusting. Waiting timmes were over 2 hours for an outpatients appointment and no staff told us about the waiting time until I asked. The nurse had no communication with the Doctor and did not know why the appointments were so delayed. Staff were highly unhelpful and administrative staff left at 5 o'clock, leaving us patients waiting and confused about what was happening. An 85 year old war veteran ahead of me in the waiting list had numb legs and could hardly walk after sitting down so long and had already waited for 3 hours at another Birmingham hospital with his wife earlier in the day, then had to walk and then get 2 buses home in the dark. Is this really the way to treat an elderly gentleman who had risked his life in the name of Britain?
I was highly disappointmed with the NHS and it's staff at Selly Oak.
