"Poor diabetic care"

Despite the fact that i was seen by diabetic consultants 3 times previously the 4th one asked me if I was a new patient. I was quite angry and asked her if they ever reads their notes. Moreover I was sent for retinopathy for the first time and they updated her records while I was there. I also prevented a serious medical accident as their records were incomplete.

I believe I should have been sent for retinopathy testing earlier as I was surprised to be diagnosed with this condition as a newly diagnosed diabetic recently.

Additionally my monitoring is very poor and I do not have a diabetic nurse. My 4 monthly follow-up was cancelled and told to come in 6 months time, that too is cancelled and I have an appointment in April 2011. I think this is utterly crazy and such behaviour is negligent.
