About: Holme Valley Memorial Hospital / Day surgery

(as a service user),

I had surgery on my left foot. I didn't think I would be anxious on the day, but I was - probably because I knew I would be awake for the procedure.

But the staff immediately made me feel so relaxed about the whole experience from start to finish. I came home knowing exactly how to manage at home, and what to do if I had any problems. It was explained to me very patiently and efficiently.

Thank you to Mr Finney and all the team, you are all very special caring people.

The team do their very best to make patients feel relaxed and reassured, they understand these procedures can be very daunting especially when you are awake throughout the process.
