"I feel that the visit to the hospital is..."

About: Colchester General Hospital

Anything else?

I feel that the visit to the hospital is one i would rather forget. I will be making a complaint later. I felt the staff were very discrimitive against my sexuality. being very rude Telling my partner false facts. Advised that i would be in surgery for 5 hours to have 2 wisdom teeth extraction. I was in surgey for 45mins and back on the ward within the hour. The staff spent more time sitting at there PC's on facebook that i could see from my bed that was at the side of there monitoring station. Maybe they could of done some networking with the patients instead of there social life. Considering the UK is ment to be a non discrimitive country i felt that the treatment i recevid was totally unsactisfactory.

I am very sorry to read of the poor patient experience you have had.

Anyone who has a concern about nursing care received, or anyone who is concerned about what should be done after being in hospital, is urged to contact one of our matrons, who are on duty 24 hours per day.

A list of matrons is on our website:

http://www.colchesterhospital.nhs.uk/matron_structure.shtml

Matrons can also be emailed via info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk

We also have a Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS), viewable here:

http://www.colchesterhospital.nhs.uk/pals.shtml

Alternatively, we have complaints process which is outlined here:
