What I liked
My midwife who delivered my baby was really nice even came to see me at the end of their shift in the ward to check if everything was okay
What could be improved
The midwife on the ward was assessing me and then had a phone call to attend to so went off still didnt come after an hour so i had to get out of bed despite having stitches and just delivered my baby to call them. They sed wait im just ordering something online il get back to u. Another hour went passed and they still hadnt come so i had to go bak n call them again then finaly they came. They offered me to stay another night for breastfeeding support which i doubt i would have got anyway but i just wanted to go home where i would get better care and not be forgotten.
Anything else?
The food wasnt filling i felt really hungry so kept going to the day room to make myself toast.
The 4 bed rooms are quite small for 4 people plus their babies.
All the toilets were blocked in the ward except one which was for visitors as well so i found it unhygienic as men and children were using it as well.
I had to wait in a waiting room for three hours when i first came into the hospital before i was examined fair enough thy were busy but i didnt have anywhere to sit except on a table and my waters had broken so risk of infection and germs. My partner and a lot of other people were standing for that long if we complain they say were too busy.
