"Surly reception staff and poor GP's"

About: The Village Surgery

I left this practice 2 months ago after years of poor care and service, it's been a great decision on reflection. To call the surgery you have to ring at certain times of the day to get an appointment, almost like a lottery. You then get through to a receptionist who usually lacks even the basic levels of customer service skills and makes you feel like a massive inconvenience to them to book an appointment for you. The best doctor in the place was the nurse by far and to get a repeat prescription you have to go in, fill in a form, wait for 3 days and then go back to pick it up. On a number of occasions I was told by the receptionist that I was not due my prescription for another week and I had to wait leaving me without vital drugs when I had run out and stuck to the recommended dose. This made me feel like I was some sort of drug addict being told by the surly receptionist that I was taking my meds too quickly and I wasn't allowed anymore. In summary I would not recommend this surgery to anyone.
