"My stay on Ward 18 Blackpool Victoria Hospital"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital / General medicine

I recently spent six days on Ward 18 suffering from pneumonia .I was impressed with the care generally but as is often the way it was the little things that made the difference .Thank-you to the care assistant who came back with a left over porridge when I was initially going to be disappointed. Thanks also to nurse who made a really good cup of tea and was also a diligent nurse and to the nurse who was always so cheerful .I was also impressed with the student nurse and with the ward cleaner who kept the ward spick and span .Lastly I would like to praise the catering department for the soups which were all I could manage to eat initially. Thankfully I am much improved and almost back to normal .

Good Morning,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your experience as a patient on Ward 18. It is lovely to read that the staff on there went the extra mile ensuring that the little things were addressed to make sure that you were comfortable during your recovery.

I am so pleased to read that you enjoyed the soup that was made here in the catering department. I will share this feedback with Ward 18 and the Catering Department so that they can see how this made a difference to your experience.

It is nice to read that you are feeling better and almost back to normal. I wish you a speedy recovery and thank you again.

Kindest Regards

Leanne Macefield
