What I liked
The surgical team and midwives in he delivery suite were fantastic. The day assessment unit midwives also displayed a wonderful level of care and compassion.
What could be improved
The aftercare. After being induced with a satisfactory amount of care for a very busy time and an emergency casearean, the level of care back on the ward went downhill. The ward was short staffed with ill/stressed nurses/midwives. I had to change my own sheet and that of my baby's on one occassion and push for an investigation to find out why I felt so unwell only to discover 3 days later that a transfusion may have been a good idea...
Anything else?
For a caring profession, some people are in the wrong job.
