"I felt that treatment was excellent in..."

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

What I liked

I felt that treatment was excellent in every way! This applies to pre-assessment at City Rd. &, with the same complement of staff, two cataract operations (one for each eye) and their respective follow-ups at St. Ann's in Tottenham. Because of the patient throughput, I seldom saw the same nurse or doctor twice, but everyone worked together extremely well and notes were updated so that all phases of treatment fitted together seamlessly. I was especially pleased because, as a lifelong myope (a group I've rarely had occasion to identify with!) whose research and leisure entails reading a lot of fine print and the like, my need to have IOLs (replacement lenses) set for near vision was evaluated carefully, taken seriously, and effected. The result was excellent and surprisingly ok even for uncorrected distance vision. I am delighted with the staff, the treatment and the outcome.

(I also had a brief visit to A&E for a very minor infection on one of the week-ends. There was an understandably longishwait, but people were seen in order of priority and again the treatment and care seemed faultless.)
