What I liked
What could be improved
a great deal.
we had arrived at the A&E department at roughly 6:30pm with a 1year old with a bump on her head, it had been bleeding hence why we were there.
We had to wait roughly 30 minutes to see the Nurse, which was fairly reasonable given the hour. But then after this we were not seen to at all, We would of thought that bieng the age our daughter is and the nature of the incident that we would of had a slight priority.
after waiting 2 whole hours we had to go to the child part of the department to ask where we were on the list, we were told "you are sixth on the list so it may be another hour to hour 'n' half". At this point it was far past our little girls bedtime so we were unsure of staying the the hospital.
Another hour had passed and we took action and went to the kids department again and complained, all we wanted out of this was to say our child was fine, it would have taken just 5 minutes for a doctor to feel her head and diagnose her.
we were then put into one of the clinic room hoping for the best, we had waited another 30 minutes. Not one person was on the hospital floor, no one else was bieng seen to on our floor.
The time was now 10:30pm well past our little girls bedtime, she was getting hungry, shattered and we couldn't stay much longer, we were told we were next on que, only to find out after 20 minutes we had been shifted down AGAIN.
So we gave up, the service was absolutely awful, we were spoken down to, treated very very poorly.
I was really apauled that it took so long to not have my little girl checked over, She is so young and I thinkg My daighter well bieng is far more important that the nurses coffee breaks...
