"First experience at the hands of the NHS & I was delighted"

About: Wycombe Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

This is a quick note to highly praise the surgical team, nurses - and service as a whole - after my operation for a hernia repair.

This operation was my first experience at the hands of the NHS and I was delighted by the professionalism, organisation and friendliness of the staff.

From my doctor’s referral through pre-op, consultation and surgery to my recovery at home the process was painless. And brought in considerably under the 18-week waiting period that I had been told to expect.

Dear capra2209

I am very pleased to learn that, from your first experience of NHS services, you were delighted by the professionalism, organisation and friendliness of the staff at Wycombe Hospital.

It is further ecouraging to read that the process was 'painless', and considerably quicker than the 18-week waiting period that you had been told to expect.

I will ensure your lovely words of praise are passed on to the surgical team for their attention.

Thank you!

Surgery was performed by Mr Appleton and anaesthesia by Ms Devoy, with pre- and post-operative care on Ward 7, Wycombe General.

You and your staff should be proud of the seamless service that you run in such straightened times. As a ‘customer’ I am grateful that the pressures the NHS is so evidently under did not hinder or impinge on my treatment. So, this is really a big thank you from me and hopefully some encouragement to keep up the good work.
