In May of this year I had a few seizures and was admitted to hospital. An MRI scan showed that I had a lesion on my brain which was initially thought to be a tumour but has now been diagnosed as MS. I wanted to express my thanks and appreciation to neurological services at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital who have been fantastic. In particular my neurologist Dr Goodfellow, who Has been supportive, kind, knowledgable and reassuring through what has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life.
Dr Goodfellow saw me quickly after my discharge from hospital and explained what was happening in a way that was easy to understand for my husband and I and kept us informed as test results came in. He referred for all my tests and scans quickly and kept us in the loop with everything. He also referred me into my MS specialist Dr Chavada, who has also been fantastic and has seen me quickly and with kindness and compassion. I often think people are quick to complain and sometimes forget to say thanks when services have been effective and efficient. Thanks for taking such great care of me!
"Great care following MS diagnosis"
