"PARKING - BEWARE"

About: Heron GP Practice (Merlyn Vaz Branch)

I'm happy to say the treatment I received for my daughter was very good, however this is my story below.

Arrived with my sick child for a blood test as my local gp practice could not do this due to her being 15 years old so had to travel to Leicester.I had never been here before so looked for a space, obviously more concerned about my daughters health than parking rules. I reverse parked into a space went to the appointment and to my surprise their was a parking ticket on my screen, I realised on a further visual look a permit was required.

I paid the £60 fine and now know that the NHS have contracted a company to police their own car park. Beware everybody as I have lost £60 due to my own mistake and the NHS not being able to police a car park for free. Come on who goes to a medical centre with a sick person and be looking for parking rules.

Money for old rope.

We would like to apologise for the difficulties you experienced and to advise that unfortunately we do not own the building or car park which is regularly monitored by an external company and signs are displayed to advise that charges apply after 2 hours. Unfortunately we do not have the authority to deal with parking tickets and we would advise patients to contact CMS directly.
