What I liked

Staff are friendly

Seeing same orthodontist and dental nurse on each visit.

What could be improved

Allowing patients a little more flexibility to see the orthodontist (not the easiest of things when he only works part time hours and nobody else covers during his days off)

Perhaps a waiting list for cancelled appointments in order to reduce the length of time people must wait? I specifically asked the office staff if they could let me know as and when a cancellation came through but am told that unfortunately, they can't.

Anything else?

My daughter is currently under the care of orthodontics for braces, which she probably needs more than most. She is very motivated to straighten out her teeth and wears her braces all day, every day and I understand this is a something of a rarity for kids her age.

The first two or three visits have been fine and all was going very well. However, her last three appointments have been cancelled by the hospital, meaning she hasn’t been able to get them altered and tightened for almost two months. For a young girl with such motivation to be continually set back like this is beginning to infuriate me.

I’ve phoned the office and requested urgent appointments, explaining that this repeated cancellations are hindering her progress but the last appointment I had for late next week has now also been cancelled.
