"Elm Breast care Centre/Wonderful"

About: King George Hospital

Having been referred to the Elm clinic by my GP to investigate a lump, my appointment was scheduled within 2 weeks. I was a nervous wreck, plus never had a mammogram before so was quite anxious.

The treatment I had (consultation, mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy and then another appointment for results a week later) I can honestly say exceeded expectations.

The surgeon was simply delightful, put me at ease instantly with a wonderful manner, then during the mammogram, the person who looked after me was so patient and kind, very sweet person, explaining everything from start to finish, no rushed treatment.

The ultrasound/biopsy that followed, same lovely treatment from the doctor who did the biopsy to the lovely nurse who held my hand throughout, I was extremely anxious, but the sweet nurse talked to me the whole time asking if I was ok and reassuring me and also allowed my fiance to sit with me alongside them.

I was given aftercare leaflets and advice about the wound from the biopsy and told to call at any time if I was worried about anything at all, advised someone would always help with any concerns while I waited a week for results.

If only all hospital treatments/departments were like this, calm, caring and very reassuring, I can honestly say if I ever needed to go through this again in the future I would not be worried at all. I must also add, the whole unit was spotlessly clean.

Thankfully my results were all clear after a worrying week waiting to return a week later.

Thank you to all the staff, you were amazing, highly recommended, felt more like a private clinic/treatment. Excellent x

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your experience and to provide us with your feedback, I am pleased to hear that you were given the all clear and it is lovely to hear that all of the staff were compassionate towards you as I know this was probably a very worrying time for you. I will ensure that your feedback is passed onto the staff in the centre so they are aware of your kind words and what a difference they are making. Thank you once again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Kind Regards
