What I liked

I have been in this hospital quite a number of times in the past ( when i found it dirty and staff not very good.)

This visit i noticed a 100% change for the better, staff on the whole were very nice, the doctor i was under was extreamly nice. Wards were 150% cleaner, cleaned at least 3 times in the day and i mean cleaned every nook and crany, the ward was new and the furniture and beds were second to none.the food was 150% better. The best food i had ever had in hospital. i am a faddy eater but found plenty to suit me every meal. Toilets need updating they are not up to the rest of the standards and not too clean. I was discharged too early and had to stay in bed a full week after leaving and quite ill for two more week after that.

While i was waiting in ward 18 for a bed at 5pm a trolly came round and gave us all a picnic bag and drink, that was a new idea and much appeciated as i had had nothing to eat all day. Full marks.

What could be improved

The toilets, they still look dirty but it maybe because they want updating and they were not very nice to use.

When you are elderly some of the staff don’t always treat you as they should, they forget one day they will be old and they all have mothers or grandparents.

Waiting for take home medication takes too long.

Well done we are getting there at last

I am now not upset if i have to come in again.

Please think how you treat the elderly, a lot of you do, but there is just a few who want to think first, they get well paid and should stop moaning and complaining.
