What I liked

I was admitted into Halton Hospital 10 years ago for a major operation and was very impressed then by the standards and the staff attitude. I was there six weeks and the care was exceptional. I visited the Hospital again last week as a day patient and was pleased to experience the same level of care and attention The wards were very clean. The staff were pleasent and attentive. The student nurses were well supervised and any spillage was immediately cleaned up. (Visiting another hospital recently I overheard a cleaning lady tell the doctor she didn't do body fluids. Why was she there)?? Halton Hospital is one of the best and must be on a level with the private care hospitals who have access to better funding.

What could be improved

However the Hospital has been reduced to a shadow of its original self because of the misguided planning of the “Warrington” PCT. All the major functionality has been moved to the Warrington General including of course the funding. Halton I predict will close during the current round of cuts and the overall patient care will decline to the very low standards practiced by the Warrington General. Get your act together PCT and keep the best not reduce everything to the lowest common denominator. And if necessary take a pay cut!

Anything else?

One suggestion would be to advertise this feedback site prominently within the hospital and patient letters as I am sure that the ratings would be even higher.
