My elderly father had a severe stroke and from the first the ambulance staff and then A&E treated him with kindness and consideration. RDU was wonderful and although he eventually passed away the care he received was superb! EVERYONE was helpful & made his last days the best they could possibly be. The staff went out of their way to make us feel he was 'special' and they could not have possibly done any more to make his last days comfortable. At this sad time the staff in RDU went out of their way to make sure my mother and our family looked after themselves too. I feel this goes far beyond their call of duty - absolutely wonderful! When my father eventually passed away, although very sad, we felt comforted with the knowledge that everything done for him ‘was the best’ it could have been. My father was a real gentleman and he received the respect he truly deserved. We will never be able to say thank you enough to all those at Winchester hospital and RDU specifically!
