I have been trying for an hour today to find our whether my husband's heart surgery has gone ahead. The two extension numbers in the Patient Information booklet which I picked up in the ward day room yesterday go straight through to Lloyds Bank. Perhaps that's just a temporary cabling problem. The Barts switchboard also put me through to Lloyds first time round, and the second time nobody answered.
Relatives need to know what's happening. I live over 50 miles away but I guess I will have to come to the hospital to find out.
