"We come up with the goals together"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

1) Yes, we have 1:1 and we go through it + we get to say if we agree, + we come up with the goals together.

2) Most of them, some of them have favourite + don't bother with other people. A couple of new ones + you can tell it's just a job + they aren't there to care.

3) I am happy because I can see myself moving forward + progressing.

4) Need more staff, there's never enough, when we have 7 they take them off us. There's never enough.

5) Think there is plenty to do, they help you out + you learn things.

10th Birthday - I did really like it, I did have to leave because there were too many people but overall I like it. do it every year.

I am delighted to hear that you are actively involved in planning your care in individual sessions with your named nurse and that you can see the progress you are making on your road to recovery. We believe that person-centred care supports you and your colleagues to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively shape and manage your health and care.

National publications have reported a rapid rise in demand for nursing care in hospitals across England. Rampton Hospital has come up with a lot of iniitiatives to ensure that you and your colleagues continue to receive high quality of care. For example, we have a robust recruitment strategy which means we are employing staff continuously throughout the year. I am sure you have seen the new nurses on your ward. Sometimes we move staff in order to enable each of the wards to have skill mix of established and new staff or where there is more clinical activity than was expected for that area such as emergency medical treatment required in an acute hospital or a patient needing higher enhanced nursing observations. We have also reviewed the activities programme across the hospital so that there is no duplication and an opportunity for all patients to receive an individual meaningful activity programme to encourage quicker recovery and discharge to lesser secure settings.

The success of the 10th year anniversary of the National High Secure Services for Women was due to the collaborative planning between patients and staff. t was great you dislpyed your achievements in progressing along your treatment pathways and acquiring knowledge and skills to move on.

Please continue to be actively involved and engaged in your treatment and in improving the service delivery. thanks so much for sharing your views.
