What could be improved

My friend who was in for at least a month with a very complicated medical history appears to have been able to have a cardiac arrest for 20 minutes and is now in intensive care. She had heart issues related to her medical problems and her father died of a heart attack. How could she have been left alone in a room with very little check ups- for this to happen? It seems the situation is very grim and the outlook the same. When speaking to relatives who work in a hospital in scotland they were appalled. They could not comprehned how this could happen.

Anything else?

There should be an inquiry.
