About: Wythenshawe Hospital

Had an occasion to visit the Endoscopy dept for a colonoscopy. I totally dreaded it having suffered a flexi-sig in a mobile unit three years before. This time was it was different. Staff were great, treated me with dignity and I was given the choice of which type of sedation I wanted, via canula or entonox, even both if I wanted. I went in had the proceedure, the sedation knocked me out! I awoke as the proceedure was ending and spent some time in recovery and was out within a few hours. Given the choice of the hospital over those mobile units, (which i'm sure have their place), I would choose Wythenshawe everytime.
