The support worker who called me into my appointment was very rude to me, I explained when they called my wife was just returning from the toilet and wouldn't be a moment, the support worked responded with a tut and an eye roll and said I don't have all day you know!! That is a disgusting way to speak to someone, my daughter works for your trust and was appalled when I told her.

The consultant was very nice and explained everything well, the nurse was also very kind and made me feel at ease with a laugh and joke.

We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative, as it helps us to better understand what is important to our patients and visitors, and where we need to make improvements.

I was very sorry to hear that, although you found the consultant and nurse who treated you to be kind and caring, you had been upset by the way that one of our healthcare support workers spoke to you.

These are not the standards which we aim for, and I would like to sincerely apologise for your experience.

I have spoken to the Orthopaedics and Fracture Clinic teams.

They would be very grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) so they can get more detailed information about your experience.
