"They said there was no funding to help me"

About: Cygnet Hospital Harrogate

(as the patient),

I am a retired rmn and rgn of 30 years service in the nhs and private sector.

I was treated abysmally at psychiatric outpatients in Harrogate. The person I was cold and dismissive. And on the basis of a 40 minute meeting called me an alcoholic. They said there was nothing and no funding to help me! That turned out to be wrong. I knew this was the case, that's why I persisted. However not everyone has the benefit of long experience of working in the NHS as a general and psychiatric nurse.
