I recently had my third foot operation at Holme Valley Hospital and everything was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff from the reception to the consultant were just great. I had to have a titanium plate and six screws put in my foot.. The staff attitude was just great, because I'd had a local anesthetic they were chatting to me and we were having a laugh, you can't get a better experience than that really, laying on a table feeling a bit nervous and scared but being bale to have a laugh! Although I wasn't too nervous as I had had two operations already and I knew they were great.
I went in four times after the op for follow ups to have my dressing changed and removed etc. They also fitted me with an air boot rather than a cast which was really good because it meant I could put my foot on the floor.
I've even though long and hard about anything which could have been improved and I can't think of anything. The only possible thing that could have been better was the coffee that they gave me after my operation, but even so, getting a coffee and biscuit after the surgery was lovely.
Everything has been so great I even baked them a chocolate cake to say thanks!
