Wow! I've just delivered my second baby here and I feel so very lucky to have been looked after by the wonderful team at the Birth Place.

Despite staff shortages no compromises were made in the care I received. I was made to feel so welcome and given the confidence and strength to deliver my baby completely naturally. From the moment I arrived I felt in safe hands. I was guided through labour with dignity and professionalism and felt at ease to ask for support when needed. The midwives who delivered my baby were so very kind to my husband and I - they made us laugh and reassured us at every step. I feel very privileged to have had my baby here and to have been empowered to have a very special birth. Thank you. I just wish these gorgeous people were under a little less strain and pressure - they worked so hard and deserve to be looked after too.
