"I arrived in A&E with a severe nosebleed..."

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

What I liked

I arrived in A&E with a severe nosebleed that would not stop, consequently somewhat distressed. I was placed in a cubicle immediately and the nursing staff did everything to ensure my comfort. I had to wait a while to see a doctor, but I'm sure that's the norm in A&E, but once seen , things moved quickly and before long I had a plug inserted in my nostril. Not a very pleasant experience, but it was necessary and appeared to do the trick, so no complaints.

My subsequent transfer to ENT at Halifax went like clockwork, so thank you everyone who helped me at Huddersfield. I arrived at Halifax and the staff were waiting for me, knew who I was and why I was there and I was seen to immediately.

By now I was a bit tired so was delighted to be given a large bedside chair to rest in and to get something to eat as I hadn't eaten all day, so very many thanks to the nursing staff. Within a short time, an ENT doctor saw to me, removing the nasal plug and cauterized my nose. I would like to thank them for looking after me and helping me feel much better.

What could be improved

Nothing..........bearing in mind I was in A&E and quickly seen to, I have only praise for everyone who attended me, both at Huddersfield and Halifax.
