"A&E with my son"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended A&E with my 11year old son on advice from doctor surgery as he was having difficulty breathing. 15 min wait on arrival and then triaged, BP and oxygen levels fine and asked to wait for further checks. 15 minutes again until taken to treatment area, young doctor was lovely, made Nathan feel very relaxed and explained all he was doing. X-ray arranged, done with 2 minutes of arriving at X-ray department and then back to cubicle. Doctor and consultant both stated chest infection and required antibiotics and within 20 minutes we had them and were heading home. A&E was very busy, but all staff were excellent and very professional- well done to all

Dear Cesmo,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience within the Emergency Department.

I hope Nathan feels better after his course of Antibiotics.

It is always good to receive positive feedback and I will ensure that this is shared with the x-ray staff.

Kind Regards

Lesley
