"Lack of crisis care"

After coming face to face with my abuser I started having severe Auditory and visual hallucinations. I tried to tell my CPN this. They did not listen and dismissed me. When I became so upset they escorted me to the door onto the car park and left me there whilst I was still hyperventilating and incredibly distressed.

I presented at A and E later that evening still incredibly distressed and feeling very suicidal. I was seen there and spoke to a wonderful liaison nurse. Together we came up with a safe plan of referral to the trauma centre and eating disorders clinic as well as support from the crisis team over the bank holiday weekend. This felt like a safe plan.

The next day I awaited a phone call from the crisis team which never came. Unbeknown to myself, my CPN who had no understanding of my distress had cancelled the crisis team input. My CPN did not contact me to let me know and did not offer any further support.

I feel completely abandoned, disregarded, ignored and severely let down.
