"Paediatric care"

(as a parent/guardian),

My baby son had a urine infection and was admitted to hospital. He was referred for tests and I wanted further information before deciding what to do next. I phoned his consultant, Dr Jeffries, and she took as much time as I needed to explain what had happened and what to expect next. She didn't make me feel like a pest taking up time over the phone that wasn't prebooked or allocated via appointment.

At our last appointment she was very understanding and supportive. She had a further ultrasound ordered in line with our care preferences and I'm very grateful for this. The care my son had both in and out of hospital has been excellent and I just want to pass on my thanks to Dr Jeffries.

Hi Poster576,

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience of the Paediatric service. I am glad you're experience was positive and you felt involved in decisions around your son's care. I will pass your comments back to Dr Jeffries and the clinical team at Wishaw.

I wish you and your son all the best going forwards.

Regards

Jim Murray.

Service Manager
