"ETU (Endoscopy Treatment Unit)"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Attended the ETU (Endoscopy Treatment Unit) yesterday and saw / spoke to a number of staff members prior, during and after my treatment.

From the receptionist to all the staff I saw, including the Sister, Staff Nurse and Consultant , I cannot praise you all highly enough. You were all brilliant, putting me at ease at a rather stressful time for me, answering my questions and explaining things in English, so I had no trouble understanding what had happened, and the way forward.

I have been referred for further scans, blood taken and x-ray booked to gather further information. What is extremely impressive is the fact that when all the results are in, the Team will meet to discuss the best treatment for me personally; this includes Consultants, Sister, Oncology Specialist from Christies, and experts from other disciplines who I can't remember - how can I ask for better than that?

God bless the NHS and all who work in Her!!!!

To you all, thank you; if it were in my power to give you a massive pay rise, I would do so because - you are all worth it!

Long live MDGH;

Pete Clowes

Footnote: had a call from x-ray this morning, so less than 24 hours, to book CT scans.

Please accept our sincere thanks for taking the time to comment on your experiences while being cared for on the ward. It's great to hear you were so pleased with the service provided.

I will feed back your comments to the staff concerned and I'm sure it will mean a lot to them.
