"The receptionist was very helpful. When..."

What I liked

The receptionist was very helpful.

When I got to see the Dentist they explained the problem with my wisdom teeth, and offered treatment the same day. The Dentist who did the extraction was excellent, no pain with the injections and it was all over very quickly.

What could be improved

I accidentally went to the 1st floor and the receptionist there was very unfriendly, scowled the whole time they spoke with me. They could do with some training in customer relations and have a change of career, where she doesn't come into contact with the public.

Anything else?

I had to wait two hours to be seen but to be fair there is a very high volume of patients.

All in all I was very satisfied with my time at the Dental Hospital.

Some people were grumbling, but come on the traetment is free, and the NHS Staff do there very best.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased that you were satisfied with your treatment. The Reception staff working on the 1st floor have been spoken to about your comments, and we apologise that you found one of the staff to be unfriendly.

South Birmingham Community Health has agreed standards of behaviour for all staff which require staff to be professional, courteous and helpful, and an audit is currently being undertaken across the organisation. Any shortfall in meeting these standards will be addressed through our Patient Experience training programme.
