I am sorry to hear that you had such a long wait for transport yesterday, and that you could not speak to anyone about this at the time. I can appreciate how keen you must have been to get home.

I have spoken to the transport lead who was sorry to hear about your experience. The help desk is usually manned until 8pm with a divert facility after that. Staff in the department have access to an escalation policy with further phone numbers. We do our best to get patients home promptly and to keep them informed if there is a delay. I am sorry that we did not manage this for you.

Please contact the PALS team on 0208 967 5653 or LNWH-tr.ehPALS@nhs.net if you would like us to follow up on this for you.

I hope you are recovering well now that you are at home.

Best wishes
