I had my daughter at Jessops on 30th July followed by another stay on the Norfolk Ward a week later.
I had a long and difficult (instrumental) delivery which could have been a lot more stressful than it was, all thanks to the fantastic midwives who looked after me in labour (it's a shame I can't give their names as they definitely deserve recognition) and the doctor who helped deliver my daughter. Despite the complications, I felt very safe during labour and at ease.
I felt that communication between staff was excellent and I also felt included in any decision making that took place.
Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have the best birthing experience possible. It was a lovely touch when the midwife who looked after me during the night came back to see me and my daughter the following evening which they didn't need to do.
Also, the dinner staff are lovely and always make sure you get your meal.
However, I did feel that breast feeding support could be improved. I felt that sometimes you really have to pester staff as they are so busy and you felt a little rushed. My experience of this was much better on Norfolk ward during my stay a few days later.
All in all, my birthing experience at Jessops was really positve and I would be haopy to reccomend Jessops to friends and family.
"Fantastic staff"
