I had a bone marrow aspiration carried out many years and found the whole experience traumatic. I never ever forgot the experience. I attended Ward 16 Day Ward Monklands Hospital this week for the biopsies filled with fear and dread. Specialist Nurse J Robertson greeted me and introduced herself in a lovely calm manner. On entering the room for the procedure I was introduced to Vivienne CSW. I had everything explained to me and given step by step information throughout the treatment by both of these lovely nurses. The procedure wasn't rushed and nicely paced. Yes it was uncomfortable at times but bearable. These two nurses were professional and their entire focus was on me. The experience was much better and my fears non existant. They were kind and empathetic and I even received a lovely telephone call at my home in the evening to make sure everything was okay. Keep up the good work ladies and thank you.
