What I liked
Today I came to the hospital with my daughter at about 230pm who had a painful wrist. I was prepared for a long wait. However we were sent to the children's area and very quickly seen by the 'Triage Nurse".
The Nurse was extremely thorough, gentle and kind. She then explained to us the next stage to see a Doctor who would decide if a X-Ray.
The Doctor again saw us very quickly and once again was very thorough in her questioning and examination. The doctor then explained how we should treat the injury and what course of action we should take if it did not improve.
Our experience left my daughter and I feeling extremely valued . I had every confidence in the treatment and advice I had been given
What could be improved
More room ! The patients and staff looked very cramped.
Anything else?
I cannot compliment the staff enough. It was clearly a busy time and my daughter's injury was very minor compared to others patients in the ward but everyone who dealt with us were extremely professional and sincere.
I would like to have been able to speak with a line manager to ensure that the "Triage Nurse" and the "Doctor" who dealt with us were both personally made aware of our satisfaction at the service we had received. However there does not appear to be a facility to give staff "live' feedback at the time. I think this is an area that should be looked at.
I would appreciate if someone were to contact me so that I can make sure the staff are made aware that they are a credit to the NHS.
Many thanks
