"I was admitted to ward 24 for a second..."

About: Glenfield Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted to ward 24 for a second angioplasty. Previously, I had undergone a first angioplasty in March 2010. Unfortunately, I was one of the2% of patients who develop some complications following the initial insertion of stents. As a result I was a "nervous" patient unsure what a second Angiogram/Angioplasty would find.

The Doctors and Nursing team on ward 24 were outstanding from the moment I arrived till my discharge and I cannot thank them enough. I would also like to thank my consultant and the lab team who performed my second angioplasty.

My thanks are not enough and I am so grateful for the professional care and treatment. I also must comment on the hospital food which can often be much maligned. From experience I found the food excellent and also must praise the ward staff who served our food and generally look after me.

Finally, the facilities at Glenfield for visitors was excellent and my wife and children, who had to travel some distance to visit me offered positive comments on the parking, cafe and shop faciilities. Many Many thanks to you all at Glenfield.
