I had a lesion (SCC) removed from my left upper arm on 21 June (the hottest and longest day of the year!).
The admin and nursing staff were friendly and caring.
The doctor was suffering badly from hay fever and despite snivelling and sneezing managed to remove the SCC successfully and sew me up again!
We were all sweating profusely due to the heat and the sticking tape would not adhere properly so large strips of tape were put on to hold the dressing in place.
I am amazed at how quickly the scar tissue has healed and can only imagine that the doctor had wonderful sewing skills. I reckon within a year the scar will hardly be visible, despite my having numerous stitches.
Dermatology have dealt with me in an efficient and prompt manner.
If there has been a cancellation I was slotted in quickly and I note that they will be monitoring me for the next year or so.
Well done!
Best wishes, Sue Staines (Mrs)
