"I was treated as a person, not an NHS..."

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

What I liked

I was treated as a person, not an NHS number, all staff worked incredibly hard, were dedicated and yet had a sense of humour at the appropriate time. Primary concern was the patient and this came across from all members of staff.

What could be improved

On my last night, I was moved to another ward - this is somewhat disorientating although I appreciate the need for beds/room etc. Some elderly patients found this a bit difficult to adjust to.

Anything else?

All in all a very positive experience and my thanks go to all the nursing staff in Tye Green Ward.

Thank you for the comments regarding the staff in Tye Green. We have passed these to the Ward Manager.
