What I liked

I was camping in the lakes and broke my finger. i was seen straight away, x-rayed, stitched and given anti-biotics in an hour! I couldn't believe it, on a Saturday night too.

The staff were extremely friendly and caring which made my bad experience into a much better one. Thanks!

Firstly, may we apologise that it has taken us so long to respond to you. We have just changed the way we do this and we are so sorry that you contacted NHS Choices sometime ago and we are now only just getting back in touch. However, thank you for sharing your story with us and we are pleased that you felt the staff in the A & E department at West Cumberland Hospital took great care after you broke you finger while camping in the Lakes. The experience of our patients is very important to us as it keeps us informed on what matters to our patients and also identifies areas for improvement. Once again, our sincere apologies for not getting in touch with your sooner than this.
