"Plume of smoke welcomed me to Monklands hospital."

About: University Hospital Monklands

(as the patient),

Whilst attending a pre admission clinic I had to suffer smokers at the main entrance to the hospital despite signs banning it on grounds.

Dear Basil

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion.

I'm sorry you had this experience of smokers at the front entrance of the Hospital, please be assured we offer a very comprehensive smoking cessation service to patients. Staff do actively discourage patients and visitors from smoking and remind them of the Government guidelines.

I do hope your pre assessment clinic and any planned procedures go well

Kind regards

Ruth
