"My stay in hospital"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I stayed on the rainforest ward after I had hurt my leg in a bike accident. All the staff were very friendly, knew what they was doing, made sure I was comfortable at all times. I was rushed in through a and e in an ambulance as I had a massive gash in my leg due to crashing my bike into my brother. The staff put me all at ease, made me relaxed, made sure that I had everything that I needed. I had a hard time going down to theatre as it was my first time but the staff was always talking to me and telling me what was going to happen all the time. I had to go back on the ward due to having panic attacks and freaking out but they managed to calm me down and get me to have some dozy medicine to have a 2nd attempt. I was all fixed and very grateful for all of the members of team. They made my stay at hospital very enjoyable.

Dear Luie

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us about your recent stay on our ward.

We are pleased to hear that you had a pleasant stay and that you didn’t feel scared. You sound like you were very brave. We hope that you are recovering well at home and that you will soon be back riding your bike again.

We look forward to sharing your feedback with the rest of the team.

Very best wishes

Laura and Sharon.
