About: North Middlesex Hospital / Oncology

I have never been taken up in a cancer ward before in my life.

This was a wonderful experience... I only have grattitude and admiration for this huge machine u call NHS.

What a wonderful country to be a small part of!! Every one is working together in harmony while carrying this huge emotional burdon of every individual they need to take care of... I am one of the lucky ones. My cancer has not spread. After my almost 2 weeks journey in your hospital, i know exactly what i would like to do for the rest of my life.

I would very much like to come and do some free volunteer work in this same ward where my cancer journey has taken me. Hats off to the NHS and my Consultant and their excellent team. Anneke Grobler.

Dear Anneke

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your experience at a very traumatic time for you. It is so rewarding for the team to know that they have made such an impact and we are of course delighted to hear the good news that your cancer has not spread.

We rely on our volunteers to help in our hospital and would be especially pleased if you would like to join the team, our volunteers make an invaluable contribution making a real difference to our patients and visitors. If you are interested, please contact Sue Mahadooa on 020 8887 3549 or email to Northmid.volunteer@nhs.net for more information about our volunteer opportunities.

Thanks,
