"A&E to Maud Alexander Ward & Cardiac Angiogram..."

About: Dorset County Hospital / Cardiology

Admitted to A&E Sat 15th July (afternoon). Staff on duty absolutely lovely, quick to respond, very friendly and helpful. Updated me throughout the 6hrs I was in (in long time due to 3hrly blood tests). I was even offered a side cubicle due to the noise at one point, which made a big difference. They also offered my family drinks whenever they wanted anything.

Admitted to Maud Alexander Ward, greeted by staff who introduced themselves by thier first name - very caring night team. Next 2 days couldn't thank all of the staff enough, particularly: Cardiac Consultants; Angiogram team; Sister; Nurse, and HCA. They were so polite, informative, very professional and nothing was a problem. The best part was that they were very friendly, approachable and smiled a lot!

All procedures were explained at every step of the way, which reduced my anxiety, compared to a previous Dorset Cardiac Unit I had attended several years ago. I have recommended this Hospital to so many of my family & friends, and I have also had the benefit or managing Depts in numerous Hospitals in the past - this is one of the best for my experience.

Dear June

I was so pleased to read about the experience you had here at Dorset County Hospital recently. It sounds like it was a really positive and caring experience, and it is great to hear that we are giving the high standard of care that we aim to achieve.

I will make sure that your kind words are passed on to both the Emergency Department and Maud Alexander staff, who I know will be very pleased indeed to read your comments.

I hope that you are now recovering well, and thank you for recommending us to your family and friends!

Best wishes,

Becky Protopsaltis
