I went for an ultrasound a few weeks ago, while in the waiting room I noticed that the skirting board was dirty/dusty (under the TV). As I looked behind the seat I was on (next to window), the bit of skirting board was was the same and there was cobwebs in the corner. I did see that these seem to be the only real skirting board in the unit so could have been overlooked by the cleaning team. This was not major problem, for me, but it will give a negative view of the hospital if it get too bad.
The other thing was the television being on and the volume slightly higher than I would expect it to be, as it is only a small room. Also the channel it was on did not induce a calmness in me and made me more anxious.
I know these may be trivial issues considering the work you do and I know you have to accommodate a lot of patients needs, but maybe having a radio station on rather than a TV.
The nurse and Doctor was great. The Doctor did explain everything I needed to know.
