I was in STDH for two weeks after breaking both the bones in my lower leg and had to have surgery twice. From entering the hospital the staff in A&E and XRay were great. I was on Ward 7 for the duration of my two week stay and the staff were absolutely amazing. The domestics, auxillaries, student and staff nurses were a caring, compassionate bunch of people. My care was most certainly 11 out of 10. They would do anything for you and helped you when you were struggling. I will forever be in their debt for the care they gave me and I hope they get recognition for this. My surgeon and consultant was a lovely but professional person who had the best interests of the patient...... they are extremely caring and from what I have seen is an amazing surgeon who also deserves recognition as I am healing well because of them. Again I will be forever in their debt, the surgeon is a truly remarkable person. I just wish I could give all of the staff who looked after me a pay rise because by god they more than deserve it for the work and hours they do. Thank you x
